MUST HAVE: Embarcadero (modeling tool) and MXIThe Data Analyst will provide professional business analysis and data analytical skills to assist in the overall data management process. He/She will perform business analysis, data analysis, ETL Development, and Testing. The Data Analyst is responsible for creating the Requirements Data Specifications for the team while utilizing the application of standard, descriptive, and inferential statistical methods for conducting necessary analysis. This could include importing, cleaning, transforming, validating, or modeling data for the purpose of making conclusions from the data. This could include investigating data and/or data consumption for the purpose of identifying areas of improvement and bridging the needs of the business with the use of the data warehouse. The Data Analyst helps to enforce data integrity, researches and documents data mapping from source to target systems, and assists with data modeling as necessary. The Data Analyst must be able to look at the big picture while taking into account the scalability, availability, reliability, stability, security, and performance of a system, all while drilling down on the specific details to ensure the requirements specifications define the who, what, when, and where of a project in order to help define the scope of a project. He/She would accurately code variables from original data and complete statistical analysis as needed and also share that knowledge of data coding and analysis techniques with other staff. This position will be required to interact with data modelers and business intelligence resources to help facilitate definitions, user requirements, and the need for data attributes. This position focuses primarily on data/business analysis with additional responsibility of testing the data solutions. He/She ensures the integrity of the project data, by ensuring data extraction, processing, storage, and manipulation has not damaged the meaningfulness and usefulness of the data. He/She may help with any administration, security, or maintenance needs as identified by the team.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience gathering business requirementsMinimum 5 years of experience working with Teradata, Oracle, or SQL Server DatabasesMinimum 5 years of experience in data management, data mapping, and data analyticsHas a strong fundamental understanding of project management, specifically in the SDLC and Agile methodologiesExpert in Microsoft products that include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VisioAbility to write PL/SQL scripts to perform data refreshes from one system to another or run data queriesAbility to identify and map source and target data for ETL developmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills to enable:Lead meetings with technical peers regarding the requirements definitionCommunicate effectively with business, vendor, and project management staffParticipates in ongoing decisions regarding study design, data collection, data analysis, and methodologyAbility to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to perform other activities as needed in order to help the team or the project to succeedEqual Opportunity Employer
