You will focus on creating solutions that address complex media supply chain challenges, from ingest, processing, and management to storage and archival, ensuring that customers can deliver high-quality media content efficiently and securely. In this role, you will partner with business leaders, developers, engineers, and production teams to design cloud-native, scalable, and cost-effective solutions tailored to the media industry’s unique needs. You will play a key role in helping customers modernize their legacy systems, integrate AI/ML for content management, and optimize cloud storage strategies. Your work will directly impact customers’ ability to streamline their operations, reduce costs, and unlock new business opportunities in the evolving media landscape.Key job responsibilities
You will be a subject matter expert on industry topics related to Media and Entertainment, Games and Sports. You will anticipate future trends and identify applications of emerging technologies to reduce friction, eliminate waste, and re-invent consumer workflows. In addition, you'll help drive thought leadership around Media Supply Chain & Archive. You will deliver written and spoken communications to establish AWS as the public cloud of choice for media organizations looking to accelerate revenue growth and improve return on assets. You will work with many of the following use-cases:Advertising signaling and insertionDistribution and monitoringPost productionMedia Archives and Asset ManagementMetadata ManagementContent QC, Localization and Preparation workflowsData Lakes & Data ScienceContent Monetization strategiesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in media technology, with a deep focus on media supply chain workflows, content management, and/or archival systems.- Expertise in cloud technologies, preferably AWS, with a proven track record of designing and implementing media workflows on the cloud.- Solid understanding of video/audio codecs, transcoding, media asset management systems, and content distribution networks (CDNs).- Experience with media storage and archive strategies, including tiered storage, data lifecycle management, and content archiving solutions.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience- Experience with media and entertainment industry-specific software tools.- Familiarity with AI/ML services and how they can enhance media workflows (e.g., metadata tagging, video analysis, content personalization).- Proven experience with migration of on-premises media infrastructure to the cloud.- Track record of successfully implementing scalable and cost-efficient cloud storage solutions (e.g., S3, Glacier).Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
