As a member of a collaborative, cross-functional software-development team, the Software Verification Tester will design and execute manual software-verification tests, detect and analyze defect data, and generate/maintain documentation of all test efforts for software used by internal R&D departments who are responsible for creating innovative in vitro diagnostic solutions.Responsibilities:
Design and develop software-verification test cases and document the resultsWork with microbiology experts, business analysts, and software developers, and project leads to analyze feature requirements, specifications, and user stories to develop effective testsSupport verification of selected anomaly fixes, including assisting with validation-testing activities and field-related supportFocus on continuous improvement of test processes and software qualityTrain on assigned procedures relevant to daily workStay informed on industry trends in software testingMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related scientific discipline (e.g. Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), Biology, Biomedical Engineering, etc.) or similar disciplines, and/or equivalent professional experienceExperience working in a clinical or industry laboratorySolid verbal and written communication skills; ability to create clear and concise documentationStrong, demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skillsPreferred Or Desirable Qualifications:
1+ years of professional experience in software testing, verification, or validationExperience in an ISO/FDA regulated environment as a member of a product-development organization (medical-device or biotech industry)Experience in the use and operation of the bioMérieux products (VITEK, VirtuO, VITEK MS, etc.) in a clinical environmentBioFire Diagnostics, LLC. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
