Responsibilities:Manage projects of various sizesContribute to the design of roadway alignments and other related projectsMentor and train younger staffPlan and schedule workCommunicate and coordinate with clientsManage project budgets and scopesParticipate in the planning and design of transportation projects
Requirements:BS in Civil Engineering or related field8-15+ years of experience in roadway engineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licensed in North CarolinaExperience with NCDOT Design-Did-Build, Design-Build, and/or CMGC projectsProficiency in design software tools such as MicroStation, In-Roads, and GEOPAKAbility to develop and manage scope, manhour, and fee estimatesStrong communication skillsPositive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desired Requirements:OpenRoads Designer (ORD) experience/trainingAlternative Delivery experience including PPP and Progressive Design-Build procurementDesign-Build experience in SC, GA, WV, and/or VAExperience in General Engineering Services Consultant (GESC) roleConstruction phase engineering services experience
