On-Site Sr. Linux Administrator with strong administration background to join our team in developing and maintaining systems in a classified environment.

The System Administrator is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and implementing solutions to optimize the infrastructure operations. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new computer (and/or server), peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Designs, implements, codes, tests, documents, and maintains systems integration solutions to total system or subsystems. Establishes functional and technical specifications, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.

Required Skills:

Must be a US Citizen with a current TS/SCI clearance.5 years of experience directly related to Linux System Administration, including installation and maintenance of software and hardware.Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels of an organization, including customers, engineering organizations, IPT members, and supporting functional organizations.Experience administering Red Hat Linux based systems with minimal support, to include Linux sub-systems, patching, packaging (RPM), performance tuning, networking, user management, and security.Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills.Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) or acquire one within 6 months of start date - IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+.

Desired Skills:TS/SCI with CI Poly.Experience administering Windows based systems.Experience with recent versions of VMware (ESXi and vCenter).Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented.Experience with security operations: system protection, system scanning and auditing, recurring security configuration checks and management, risk assessments, contingency/incident response, and security sustainment.Experience in action item management, requirement change management and overall development and progress metrics.Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.May have practical knowledge of project management.Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Education:Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

Travel:Occasional travel in the Continental United States.
