We’re seeking a future team member for the role of

Vice President, Kubernetes Platform Engineer

to join our Application Infrastructure Management team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL (Northern Orlando) via hybrid in-office work arrangement (2-3 days in office).

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

Manage and administer private/public cloud cluster compute on VMs & Bare-Metal with Openshift.

Configuring authentication, routing, logging, monitoring, storage, and networking components for the cluster compute.

Collaborate with development teams in reviewing the containerized applications architecture and onboarding in-house and vendor software components/tools onto the cluster compute and ensure compliance with BNY standards and best practices.

Collaborate with DevOps and develop GitOps/CICD pipelines for automating patching, maintenance, and vulnerability fixes.

Continuously evaluate new technologies and industry trends for security hardening, observability, and platform availability.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 5-7 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

5 plus years hands-on experience with Kubernetes Cluster Management and Operations: creating, configuring, upgrading, and administering Kubernetes clusters on VMs/BareMetal. (Prior OpenShift experience is a plus but not mandatory)

Must have experience in ArgoCD or Flux, Helm/Kustomize, Prometheus based monitoring, Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD automation.

Must have strong knowledge of Linux system internals, storage & networking fundamentals.

Strong problem-solving skills and be open-minded to develop, learn and work within a professional, team-oriented setting.
