Marine Corps Liaison, Joint National Training Capability (JNTC)Service Liaisons represent the JNTC program to the four Services (U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps), and U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) which has Title 10 training authority over the joint special operations forces. All service liaisons are located in Suffolk, VA within the Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) workspaces. The JNTC liaison's primary mission is to support and further the mission of JNTC to create persistent improvements to the quality and quantity of joint training at existing service and USSOCOM training programs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the planning and conduct of JNTC accreditation and certification programsDocument and mitigate joint training capability(s) shortfalls identified during JNTC accreditation and certification eventsProvide feedback on efficacy of JNTC applied resourcesProvide expertise in support of the exercise lifecycle, training methodology, after-action reporting and feedbackIdentify and capture joint context issuesVisit selected training program and events to provide observations on joint context shortfalls and feedback on JNTC-implemented initiativesSupport integration of emerging doctrine and technologySupport training programs with event planning, scenario development, master scenario events list developmentProvide input to the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reportingEDUCATIONMaster’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution, or bachelor’s degree and military Service or Joint War College graduate.Minimum of 15 years’ experience related to military operational experience working with senior General Officer (GO)/Flag Officer (FO)/Senior Executive Service (SES).EXPERIENCEExperienced expert in areas such as:Military ScienceInternational affairsInformation OperationsOpposing Forces (OPFOR)Logistics SupportJoint FiresCyberSpace Based OperationsElectronic WarfareCommand and ControlMilitary operationsEngineeringCounter terrorismHave experience providing analyses, conclusions, recommendations, and courses of action both written and verbal.Performed reliable, consistent advice and thought-provoking recommendations to various audiences in military training and real-world events.Knowledgeable in doctrinal approaches to command.Skilled in developing a command philosophy that reflects the approach to command and is actionable.Knowledgeable in building unit cohesion, will & resiliency.Knowledgeable in doctrinal approaches to training.Practiced in developing training guidance.Knowledgeable in doctrinal approaches to tactical decision making & planning.Practiced in modeling a thinking enemy and defeat mechanisms.Practiced in crafting commander's guidance & intent.Practiced in commander KSAs for planning and execution.Knowledgeable in emerging challenges (EMS, CUAS, SIGMAN, OIE).CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIESRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of service warfighting /staff functions from the company to brigade level.Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and/or SharePoint.WORKING CONDITIONSRequired to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONSOccasional travel CONUS/OCONUS may be required.Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.SECURITY CLEARANCESecret clearance required. Top Secret eligibility desired.
