You will be responsible for:Leading functional growth and maintenance in Vehicle Air Management System.Developing engineering concept designs, post-production maintenance, and engineering administration.Participating in the global cross-functional team to secure the delivery of various complex components and systems with complete life cycle responsibility.Coordinating with local cross-functional team members (on or off-site) to deliver robust engineering solutions.Ensuring technical solutions are designed in accordance with applicable standards and legal demands for US, Mexico, and Canada.Ensuring new designs fulfill business objectives as well as Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature targets.Providing solutions that meet organization strategies/targets and adhere to requirements as provided by Product Platform team.Performing, evaluating, and reporting Verification & Validation activities at component, sub-system, and vehicle level.Coordinating root-cause analysis and component releases (hardware and software) to resolve technical product quality issues.Supporting the development of modular systems and components to optimize part diversity.Your future teamOur team, Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics Engineering, is a highly skilled team within the Vehicle Engineering function for Volvo Group Trucks North America. Our teams are in charge of the complete chassis development for the North America truck brands in the Volvo Group. We develop components, systems, and complete chassis for conventional trucks as well as for electro-mobility and automation.This position will report to the Group Manager for Vehicle Control Systems in Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics Engineering Greensboro.Who are you?

In this role, you will bring:RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering is required.5-8+ years of product development experience in the transportation industry, preferably in commercial truck development.Experience in working with Agile processes and methodologies.Product development experience must be accountable as a component owner.Experience with global supply chain logistics, assembly methods, and spare parts management.Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a product development environment.PreferredMaster’s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.Understanding of heavy-duty trucks.Knowledge of commercial vehicle CAN communication protocols and CAN analysis tools such as Vector CANalyzer.Knowledge of Vehicle Control Systems.Knowledge of Heavy Duty Vehicle Air Management Systems.Experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.FMVSS and CMVSS experience.ISO26262 experience.Basic CAD (CREO - AVP) experience.What’s in it for you?
