Information TechnologyJob Description:The Director, Application Architecture is responsible for establishing and driving activities that contribute to planning, budgeting, resourcing, creating, and implementing an IT vision and strategy for technology aligned with ADM Applications’ Platforms strategic business plan. This position will influence the development, implementation, and support of core solutions as well as the transition of legacy applications to the strategic platforms utilizing staff, managed or outsourced services and/or Software as a Service (SaaS) providers. This role will play a key role in our Applications maintenance and driving efficiencies for cost optimization and decision making to ensure new platforms are designed within a repeatable framework.Job Responsibilities:Define, own and build an Operational Excellence and Applications Maintenance function for the Applications Operations organization.Build platform strategy and influence a global team.Lead the Applications Operations organization responsible for maintenance of the global Applications ecosystem.Establish a Center of Excellence for technical practices in applications and applications job processes management.Manage application modernization processes, P2C (Prem to Cloud) migration, database health and archive management, software engineering, and infrastructure.Collaborate with Infrastructure & Operations Engineering group, Enterprise Architecture, and Information Security Groups.Build strong relationships with operational leaders through effective communications and actionable information delivery.Direct and manage assigned resources to support effective execution and management of the Platform systems.Construct and manage Strategic Operational Roadmaps for applications.Engage in MADJV activities to strengthen our application landscape.Drive reduction in vulnerabilities.Engage Senior IT leadership for review of architecture and standards.Provide overall leadership and technical guidance to assigned project teams.Create an environment where team members are motivated to perform.Key Requirements:10+ years of proven management experience building and leading platform engineering organizations.10+ years overall information technology experience.7+ years in application, data, integration, or strategic architecture.12+ years of experience working on high-availability, distributed platforms.12+ years supporting global production platforms.Experience defining a platform strategy from the ground up.ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.About ADM:At ADM, we unlock the power of nature to provide access to nutrition worldwide.
