https://www.baptistfirst.org .The Clinical Informatics Specialist is responsible for serving as a resource and contact for staff in relation to clinical applications including but not limited to: PowerChart, Surginet, Anesthesia, and Firstnet. The Clinical Informatics Specialist will collaborate with the CI Manager and Director as well as CMIO to coordinate and facilitate workflow and process improvements in relation to IT systems in order to enhance the effectiveness of clinical applications. The Clinical Informatics Specialist is responsible for providing initial training to new physician medical staff, residents, locums, and midlevel providers, as well as continuing education and training for physician staff and super users. The CI specialist will work to resolve problems quickly and efficiently in collaboration with IT clinical analysts while utilizing the change management process. CI specialists will act as a resource and liaison at medical staff meetings throughout the healthcare system. Clinical Informatics Specialists will also assist IT with implementations and system upgrades of inpatient clinical applications.QualificationsCurrent RN licensure.Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience required.Experience as a clinical IT subject matter expert or super user preferred.A demonstrated interest in Healthcare Information Technology (IT) either through course work or experience in a hospital with the selection or implementation of a clinical information system.Previous participation and leadership in a hospital committee.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, with strong prioritizing skills.Ability to provide formal and informal technology teaching and competency validation.Strong understanding of clinical workflow processes, resulting in current and future workflow enhancements and performance improvements to support nursing and physician practice.Self-direction in utilizing resources to meet objectives.Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.
