Networking Software Engineers are responsible for the development of Anduril’s core networking technology, and its application to specific combat systems and operational environments. In this role, you will:Design, implement, and deploy networking solutions at all layersDevelop, optimize, and support software to manage networking hardwareWork directly with customers and product teams to identify network designs and features necessary to achieve mission success.Develop instrumentation for networking performance and improve system efficacy.Create diagnostic, testing, simulation tools, and implement system level network testingDevelop networking simulation software for modeling real-world networking constraintsDebug issues at all layers of the stack from low level kernel bugs to cloud networking issuesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of production-grade Rust and/or C++ experience in a Linux development environmentInterest and development experience in communications and networking of distributed systemsExperience building software solutions involving significant amounts of data processing and analysisAbility to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code basesA desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impactMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must be willing to travel for test field events up to 25%Experience with RF communications payloads (VHF/UHF, SATCOM, etc.)Experience developing the Linux Kernel networking stack.Experience with existing networking middleware (e.g., DDS, ROS, MQTT)Experience with software engineering on robotics systems.Experience working in systems with hard determinism requirementsExperience with networking protocols and technologies, including:Software-Defined Networking / SD-WANsRouting protocols (small and large scale - e.g., mesh routing as well as internet-scale routing across autonomous systems)US Salary Range: $138,000 - $252,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
