What will you be doing?Barclays Services Corp seeks Syndicate Application Developer in New York, New York (multiple positions available):

Support and enhance the current platforms while helping to build and onboard a brand new platform for Equity Syndicate deals.

Develop and support a suite of applications – both proprietary and vendor-based – used globally by the equities syndicate desk, institutional sales & traders, research, compliance, business development services, and accounts management personnel.

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Write and enhance database queries, stored procedures, views, and functions, with an affinity for data analysis and data modeling.

May Telecommute.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr:

$177K per year

Salary / Rate Maximum/yr:

$205K per year

This position is eligible for incentives pursuant to Barclays Employee Referral Program.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop, and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.

Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

Collaboration with peers, participation in code reviews, and promotion of a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.

Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
