Drafting Technician
will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to provide exceptional services to VA Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS) in Palo Alto, CA. You will be responsible for assisting in the planning and development of an equipment plan and associated infrastructure requirements to support all medical equipment for hospital construction projects. This involves utilizing technical drafting skills to create accurate and precise drawings and plans.Job Description:Provide detailed and accurate technical drawings, plans, and blueprints using AutoCAD/Revit software.Collaborate with interior designers, medical equipment planners, and other professionals to gather information and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and other data to create comprehensive and accurate drafts.Organize and maintain a systematic filing system for all drafts, ensuring easy retrieval and reference.Assist in the creation and maintenance of a digital database for drawings and related documents.Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings to meet established standards and guidelines.Conduct thorough checks to identify and rectify errors or discrepancies in drafts.Provide regular updates on the progress of drafting projects and address any concerns or modifications promptly.Keep updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in drafting techniques to enhance skills and knowledge.Actively engage in fostering continuous improvement at work.Other tasks that may be assigned.Duties and Responsibilities:Minimum of three (3) years or more experience in the drafting of interior design or architecture for commercial and industrial buildings.Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or REVIT is required.Ability to interpret Architectural/Engineering plans.Ability to review drawings for completeness and accuracy.Ability to obtain and assemble data to complete FF&E drawing documents and visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary.Ability to work with interior designers & medical equipment planners regarding drawing documentation standards.Ability to handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision.Why Planate?Planate Management Group is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
