Job Description - PROGRAMMER/ANALYST (T220691)Position Overview
This position will serve as a member of the Medical Education Information Services (MEIS) Analytics Team, with a primary role of maintaining existing and developing new database-driven web applications.Duties and Responsibilities
Provides support for the analysis, design, estimates, development, documentation, testing, and implementation of new computer programs.Provides maintenance and support for programs within existing systems.Liaison with user, technical support, training, and operations personnel.Provides technical and administrative support to the department.This position will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.Perform other duties as assigned.Salary Range
$47,665 - $77,455Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. A list of experience and education substitutions can be found on the UAB Compensation website, if job allows for such substitutions.Experience with the following is preferred:Transact-SQL and SQL Server Management StudioASP Classic/VBScript, ASP.NET, C#HTML5, Bootstrap, and other mobile-friendly web application development frameworksIIS web application developmentGit, GitLabServiceNowEqual Opportunity Statement
