Job Description - INFORMATION SYSTEMS SPECIALIST I (T215550)INFORMATION SYSTEMS SPECIALIST I - (T215550)DescriptionSupports department information systems requirements and objectives. Consults with system users and makes software and/or hardware recommendations. Installs and/or develops customized software as required. Provides training and documentation of software. Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs as necessary any department hardware and peripherals. May maintain department file server, i.e. back-ups, additions and deletion of users, etc.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesExtensive knowledge and expertise in computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to safeguard systems and data.Proficiency in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading computer hardware components.Experience in installing, configuring, and updating software applications and systems.Knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and configurations to ensure connectivity and troubleshoot network issues.Familiarity with backup procedures and data recovery techniques to prevent data loss.Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with users and team members.Critical thinking skills to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.Ability to adapt to new technologies, environments, and challenges in a fast-paced IT landscape.Dedication to providing excellent customer service and support to end-users.Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.Capability to work collaboratively with colleagues, management, and other departments to achieve common goals.Thoroughness and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in technical tasks and documentation.Performs other duties as assigned.Annual Salary Range:
$39,215 - $63,725QualificationsAssociate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
