Position Summary

The Power BI / Report Developer will be responsible for the creation, enhancement, administration, and maintenance of the enterprise Power BI, SSRS, and other reporting tools. This position will also be responsible for related automation tools, data interfaces, integration, and process development such as using Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps. This role will work with other Business Analysts and Power Users to gather requirements for new reports or enhancements of existing ones.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain the daily operations and security of all reporting solutions such as Power BI, SSRS, Power Automate, and Power Apps as required.

Develop new reports, queries, views, dashboards, KPIs, and automation as required by the organization and defined by Business Analysts or Power Users.

Maintain and enhance existing reporting solutions and automation as required to meet the needs of the organization.

Assist with the budgeting and licensing of all reporting and automation solutions.

Manage user and data security as required for reporting.

Audit and monitor all reporting solutions for the accuracy of the information being published and for timely availability to all users.

Provide training to Business Analysts, Power Users, and the End User Support team on all reporting and automation solutions.

Establish and maintain an "Enterprise" IT supported portal for officially validated company reports and a "User Created" portal for sharing user-created reports.

Establish training for end users to build their own Power BI reports and create a peer support group.

Present to Executive and Management leaders the status of reporting and automation solutions and recommendations for enhancements.

Work with the infrastructure team to ensure all reporting and automation solutions are properly backed up and operationally aligned with our Technology infrastructure.

Remain current on understanding of all applications used across the organization and options for extracting and utilizing the data from each.

Maintain KPIs for the operation and accuracy of reports and automation used across the enterprise.

Understand and utilize technology to meet the needs of the organization, including mobile devices, data warehouses, data lakes, and other related business intelligence solutions.

Assist with internal and external audits requiring special extraction of data.

Learn and maintain a working knowledge of the data structures, schemas, and integrations of core business systems.

Knowledge & Skill Needed:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, business, or related field, or demonstrable work experience.

Preferred certifications in business intelligence, business reporting, SQL, database design/systems, or systems technologies.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in Information Technology roles.

5+ years of Business Analytics, Reporting, and data integrations.

5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL syntax, and SQL Stored Procedures.

5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SSRS.

5+ years of experience working with users in the definition, development, testing, and implementation of reporting solutions.

5+ years of experience with an ERP system with understanding of core data flows and schemas.

Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
