Transportation Project Engineer
to join our growing Team in the
San Antonio, TX
area. They will be mentored and trained as seller-doers with opportunities to market our services, interact with the biggest transportation clients in Texas, and grow their career.Responsibilities:Sub-consultant and design team coordinationGeometric design for roadways/interchangesConstruction sequencing and traffic controlUtility relocation coordinationMarketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals and letters of interest, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited programLicensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, or will have the ability to obtain reciprocity within three months of hireFive (5) to Ten (10) years of relevant experiencePractical working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), and the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD) as well as TxDOT Design manuals and processesStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong working knowledge of MS OfficeTxDOT Pre-CertificationsPreferred Skills:Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on TxDOT (or other DOT) transportation project design3D Design experience with Geopak SS4 or OpenRoads DesignerGarver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
