Solidus is searching for a Senior Platform DevSecOps Engineer. The role's core responsibility is for providing the design, development, implementation, and integration of a predominantly cloud based compute/network/storage infrastructure, as well as support modernizing the program platform’s over-arching design through new emerging technologies and use of DevOps/DevSecOps tools and automation in-order to streamline processes, enhance collaboration, and accelerate the release cycles, thereby driving efficiency and innovation.
This position is located in Aurora CO. Candidates must be able to work on-site.
Day in the life:
Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure.Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability across cloud based computing environments.Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management.Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and other agile development teams to design and implement robust platform solutions.Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management.Provide operational support for the platform.You will be on a team that is responsible for development and operational environments on a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset. This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.
What you will bring to the role:
US Citizenship and TS/SCI / CI PolyBS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics5+ years of related work experience.Must meet DoD 8570 IAT level II requirements (Security + CE or equivalent)
Experience in:
RedHat LinuxCloud based technologies, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS)/ Commercial Cloud Services (C2S).Designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker.Programming/scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).Troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux based Operating Systems.
Preferred:
Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration.
Experience in:
Deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab).Automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and ChefScanning tools (E.g. Nessus, Fortify, Anchore).Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience with compute, networks, storage, and virtualization.Developing, testing & delivering applications w/in a DevSecOps framework.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $100,000 - $153,000 based on multiple factors including but not limited to customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education, clearance level, and certifications.
