As we work to weave diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and foster a sense of belonging throughout the company and within our communities, we constantly ask ourselves: What is our impact on the world?In the role of Biology Section Manager, we'll count on you to:Take responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing supportFunction as Project Manager and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilitiesTake administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sectionsBe involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviewsBe directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issuesSee that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management systemImplement, monitor and support company policySelect, train, develop and manage technical personnelManage and develop multidiscipline teamsWork cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production effortsPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsA minimum of 20 years’ experience.Experience managing a Biology TeamVarious experience with common and sensitive plant and wildlife species in Southern CaliforniaExperience with regulated aquatic resources delineation and permitting at the federal, state, and local levelsExperience as a consultant familiar with developing fees and managing budgetsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceA minimum of 10 years experienceProfessional registration, license or certification may be required based on roleStrong communication and listening skillsAbility to handle multiple assignmentsGood leadership and organizational skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
