Essential Functions of the position are detailed below, and include any physical requirements below that.
Assists the Information Technology (IT) Department with the day-to-day field operations for the Agency.
Responsible for installing new computer equipment to assigned location(s).
Handles a wide array of technical tasks to ensure compliance with agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies in the course of performing job expectations.
Provides on-site and remote support for one or more of the following systems: desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, hand helds, servers, LANs, WANs, and CANs.
Provides support of systems for break-fix, installations, moves, and preventive maintenance activities.
Maintains up-to-date and accurate departmental files and databases, as required by agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies in the course of performing job expectations.
Conducts hardware, software, and network troubleshooting and problem resolution for the IT Department, as appropriate, using either remote access software or in-person assistance.
Researches problems, makes recommendations for solutions, and repairs or rebuilds systems, or stages machines to appropriate specifications.
May be asked to address and resolve any urgent technical support-related issues, as requested.
Works on special projects, as assigned.

Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day.
Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.
Climb up and down up to 7 flights of stairs at a time.

TB Testing.
Drug Testing.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Relevant Education:Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Computer Applications.Minimum: Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Applications.
Relevant Experience:Preferred: 3 Years of experience configuring, and installing, laptops, printers, and computer peripherals. Hands on experience troubleshooting hardware such as PC's, laptops, printers and computer peripherals and network interface cards. Application support experience with all versions of MS Office and all versions of Windows OS's.Minimum: 2 Years of experience configuring, and installing, laptops, printers, and computer peripherals. Hands on experience troubleshooting hardware such as PC's, laptops, printers and computer peripherals and network interface cards. Application support experience with all versions of MS Office and all versions of Windows OS's.
Certification/Licensure:Preferred: CompTia A+ or MS MCP Windows 7Minimum: CompTia A+
