IT Technician Intern
This is an Unpaid internship. We are offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Technician Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in supporting IT infrastructure and technology solutions. As an IT Technician Intern, you will work closely with our IT team to troubleshoot technical issues, provide user support, and assist in maintaining IT systems and networks. The IT Technicians will provide technical support and ensure the whole company runs smoothly. The technician monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs, and configures hardware and software, and solves technical issues as they arise.Department:

Chicago, IllinoisTHIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL:
Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.Troubleshoot software applications, operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS), and peripheral devices to ensure smooth functionality.Assist in setting up and configuring network devices such as routers, switches, and wireless access points.Learn and follow IT policies, procedures, and best practices for security, data protection, and system maintenance.Perform routine system updates, patches, and software installations on workstations and servers.Learn and use IT ticketing systems to log, track, and resolve technical issues efficiently.Assist in inventory management of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.Collaborate with IT team members on IT projects, deployments, and infrastructure upgrades.Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and user guides for knowledge sharing and training purposes.Other job duties assigned.DESIRED SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking concepts, and troubleshooting techniques.Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and productivity tools.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies.Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with end-users and IT team members effectively.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.Eagerness to gain practical experience in IT support, systems administration, and network troubleshooting.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.High School Diploma or GED.0-2 years of professional experience in positions like customer support and IT help positions.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Problem solving you need to be able to determine why hardware or software is not working properly.Research & Analysis: On occasion, we will need to assess new software platforms.
