The Data Analyst will execute the production, analysis, and dissemination of customer and operational metrics to key business stakeholders. You get a thrill out of turning data into actionable information to make a big impact across the organization. You enjoy breaking down the hairiest of problems and sharing your insights with key stakeholders across the organization, and recommending sound business decisions based on insights from the underlying data– your analysis is that good. Although data is important, you always keep the customer front of mind and enjoy optimizing the customer experience, which translates to creating long-term business value. You’ll enjoy the journey just as much as the outcome, and your positive demeanor will influence others along the way to do the same.Responsibilities:Deeply understand our organization's data structure and look for ways to improve it to enhance our ability to perform robust data analysis.Deeply understand all sources of data across the enterprise, link to data strategy, and continually evolve the ability to measure and track key data points to enable data-driven decisions.Evaluate the effectiveness and financial impact of marketing programs and promotional activities.Collect and provide quantitative and qualitative information to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities and answer strategic business questions.Track performance and create KPIs of targeted programs offered to customers to help drive better results.Gather and analyze the external market and economic data to better understand correlations to industry and business activity and provide regular insights.Utilize BI solutions to improve the timeliness of data and better visibility to decision-makers to help them monitor, measure, or predict how the company is performing.Assist with maintenance and management of the Marketing SQL database.Perform marketing research & analysis to inform customer targeting & segmentation, and tracking of Customer Lifetime Value across the enterprise.Enable Voice of Customer (VOC) data collection, tracking, and analysis to improve Customer Experience at all levels – end consumer (homeowner), contractor (dealer), and distributor.Understand current and target Customer Experience and Customer Journey; create a dashboard to continually measure key metrics to understand gaps and areas that need further attention and investment.Create new data sets when there is little or no data available, to inform marketing analysis.Work hand-in-hand with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, Logistics, and IT to identify new data sets and how those can be used to bring value to the market and company; engaged third-party vendors and customers as needed.Engage with third-party data providers to strengthen data models as needed.Assist with internal assessments of workflow processes to identify inefficiencies, especially those where Marketing is involved, and propose more efficient processes and procedures.Provide data and ad hoc analysis to support marketing managers as needed.Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.Knowledge & Skills:Strong data storytelling ability – the ability to produce actionable information/insights, not just data crunching.Ability to put results into context, considering the overall business goals and performance.Eager to make a big impact at a large company – you show up for work and get things done.Comfortable with experimentation and testing of Minimum Viable Products to determine if proposed business models/solutions scale up.Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and Access; ability to translate data insights into PowerPoint presentations.Proficient with BI tools such as Tableau, DOMO, or Microsoft BI.Experience with Qualtrics or other survey tools.Understanding of relational databases with experience in SQL or R preferred.Natural ability and desire to work on a team; goes the extra mile when needed.Ability to work independently.Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, capable of communicating with people of many different levels of an organization.Great analytical skills with attention to detail.Ability to grasp complex concepts and systems quickly.Ability to manage multiple projects and shift direction quickly.Intellectual curiosity and strong passion for using data to solve problems.Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.Experience:0-3 years of work experience in a Marketing / BI Analyst role.Proven experience as a BI Analyst working with eCommerce, retail, marketing, and/or web development applications.Experience solving complex business problems involving a heavy amount of analytics.Digital Marketing-based experience preferred.HVAC industry experience preferred but not required.Education/Certification:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Business / Engineering / Statistics / Mathematics / Economics; or another related degree with a strong quantitative emphasis.(Optional) Master’s degree in Business Administration / Marketing.People Management:
