Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Sam's Club. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining complex systems using Java programming language. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion while adhering to Sam's Club code of conduct.What you'll do:Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information, performing root cause analysis, engaging support teams, and developing solutions.Participate in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to come up with high-level design by partnering with product management and user experience teams.Provide expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.Build relationships with key stakeholders to identify business needs and adapt to competing demands.Model compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the company mission and values.Collaborate closely with product, design, and front-end teams to create intuitive experiences.Develop software systems and solve complex problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology.Ensure on-time delivery and communicate status to team members and stakeholders.Utilize strong interpersonal skills in working with internal teams.Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle and write well-designed, testable, efficient code.What you’ll bring:2 to 3 years of development experience building microservices using Java, Spring, Spring Boot.Ability to build products with a focus on testability, well-versed with Mockito and JUnit.Solid knowledge of OOP concepts and design patterns.Knowledge of building scalable and distributed applications in Azure or GCP.Working knowledge of CI/CD and agile methodologies.Bachelor's degree and 4 years' experience in software engineering or Master’s degree and 2 years' experience.2+ years of experience in developing and supporting complex systems using Java.Experience with databases and cloud platforms.Experience with microservices architectures and event-based architecture/messaging frameworks.Experience working in a KPI driven highly agile environment.Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
