Senior DevOps Engineer

for an effort to provide systems engineering and integration of Naval software systems.Pay Band - $100,000 - $140,000 varies with experience.You Will:

Provide knowledge in systems engineering and information technology related to DevOpsArchitect and develop solutions to solve problems and implement enhancementsInvestigate and resolve issues that span multiple applications/technologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple groupsDevelop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainabilityDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for integration and deploymentCollaborate with development teams to optimize workflows and enhance software deliveryPlan and manage team activities across sprintsAutomate and streamline operations/processesProvide feedback on internal processes and recommendations for improvementContribute to team efforts by accomplishing related taskings as neededProvide technical analysis integral to enterprise automation solutions for large systemsConduct in-depth research and analysis of issues and new technologiesPrepare technical briefs to present to engineering review teamsIntegrate COTS and GOTS software into CANES baselinesProvide technical knowledge to support and maintain IT enterprise productsLead and manage a small teamYou Have:

A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to hire dateDoD 8140\8570 Certifications to be qualified as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II5+ years of DevOps experience in a senior engineer role overseeing complex IT infrastructureAutomated infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as CodeExperience with AWS EC2 and S3 building virtual instances and utilizing cloud storageExperience with Ansible Automation Platform development and maintenance (Projects, Templates, Workflows, Execution Environments, etc.)Experience with Ansible development (Inventories, Collections, Roles, Modules, Playbooks, etc.)Broad knowledge of DevOps products and tools for automationWorking knowledge and experience with Agile framework and ScrumDecomposed high-level epics/features into prioritized stories and tasksAbility to effectively install, configure, and administer in a multi-system and/or multi-application environmentExperience with Microsoft PowerShell is critical as it is heavily leveraged to automate installation, configuration, hardening, and maintenance tasksExperience with other programming/scripting languagesKnowledge of Linux/Windows OS and networking from a system design perspectiveAbility to create and test virtualized environments (VMWare, OpenShift, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure) for development and testing procedures that are traceable to system requirementsWorking knowledge and experience of System Engineering processes and proceduresStrong documentation and oral communication skills to clearly communicate with all levels of users, engineers, managers, and organizationsAbility to work with others in a highly collaborative environmentSelf-Motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to qualityAbility to multi-task and balance multiple goals and prioritiesExperience with leading and mentoring junior staff while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment10+ years of IT experienceWe’d be Impressed if You Had:

A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or engineeringExperience with Git, familiarity with GitLab, GitLab Pipelines, Artifactory, Confluence and JiraKnowledgeable with integrated development environment (IDE, Visual Studio Code) for GIT management and code revisionExperience with programming/scripting languages (Bash\, Python\, HTML\, JAVA)Experience with developing robust, standardized development environments for teams of developers that integrate custom tools and automated testing capabilitiesExperience with Test Driven Development.Experience creating and managing services in AWS or AzureExperience with SatelliteExperience with VMWare virtual infrastructureExperience with Linux administration and BASH scriptingCertified ScrumMaster CertificationRed Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible AutomationRed Hat certification in OpenShiftCertifications: Scrum\Agile, CISSP, SANS, ITIL, PMPWant to hear more?
