Atlas Tech is seeking a Linux DevOps Engineer for an effort to provide systems engineering, software development, and integration of Naval software systems.
Pay Band: $80,000 - $110,000 based on experience.
You Will:
Provide knowledge in systems engineering and information technologyDevelop solutions to solve problems and implement enhancementsInvestigate and resolve issues that span multiple applications/technologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple groupsDevelop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainabilityProvide feedback on internal processes and recommendations for improvementProvide technical analysis integral to the maintenance and sustainment of DoD systemsProvide in-depth research and analysis of issues and new technologiesPrepare technical briefs to present to engineering review teamsProvide Tier 3 support and solution engineering for fielded systemsProactively monitor and assess enterprise healthDevelop Ansible roles and playbooks for automationReview pull requests submitted by various teams for logical or syntax issuesFacilitate coding standardsProvide support resolving merge conflictsInstall test branches on physical hardware on lab equipment as first level integration testsVerify install documentation is executableImprove automation framework
You Have:
U.S. CitizenshipA minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to hire dateDoD 8570 Certifications to be qualified as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level IIExperience with Microsoft PowerShell as it is heavily leveraged to automate installation, configuration, hardening, and maintenance tasksExperience with other programming/scripting languagesExperience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux system development, integration, and testingExperience with AWS EC2 and S3 building virtual instances and utilizing cloud storageExperience with Ansible and TerraformExperience with Agile and DevOpsExperience with Git, familiarity with Bitbucket, Confluence and JiraDemonstrated ability to effectively install, configure, and administer in a multi-system and/or multi-application environmentWorking knowledge and experience of System Engineering processes and proceduresKnowledge of Linux/Windows OS and networking from a system design perspectiveAbility to create and test virtualized environments (VMWare, Hyper-V, AWS) for development and testing procedures that are traceable to system requirementsStrong documentation and oral communication skills to clearly communicate with all levels of users, engineers, managers, and organizationsAbility to work with others in a highly collaborative environmentSelf-Motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to qualityAbility to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities5+ years of hands on relevant technical experience
We’d be Impressed if You Had:
A Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or other engineeringRedHat certification (i.e. RHCSA, RHCE, etc.)Experience with Ansible automation design and developmentExperience with Linux administration and BASH scriptingExperience with Redhat Satellite development, integration, and testExperience with container technologies (Docker/Podman)Experience with VMWare virtual infrastructureExperience with Full-stack software development (i.e. Java, .NET, JavaScript, SQL)Knowledgeable in best cybersecurity practices (STIGs) and using industry standard tools (ACAS, Nessus) to perform vulnerability analysis and mitigationsKnowledgeable with integrated development environment (IDE, Visual Studio Code) for GIT management and code revision
