Required Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation.
Licensure:
Professional Engineer (PE) license in California (Civil and/or Traffic).
Experience:
At least five years of professional experience in traffic operations, design, or transportation engineering.
Project Management:
Proven experience managing engineering projects from concept to completion.
Specialized Expertise:
In-depth knowledge in at least one of the following:Traffic Operations:
Proficient with traffic analysis tools like Synchro, HCS, and/or Vistro, and experienced in completing transportation impact studies.Traffic Signal & Design:
Skilled in designing new or modifying existing traffic signals, as well as devices such as RRFBs, HAWKs, and roundabouts. Expertise in preparing signing, striping, and traffic control plans with AutoCAD. Familiar with developing specifications and cost estimates.
Communication Skills:
Strong writing abilities for both technical documentation and non-technical reports.

Leadership:
Experience in training and supervising staff.
Communication & Public Engagement:
Excellent communication skills, including client interactions, presentations at public meetings, and workshop facilitation.
Regional Experience:
Familiarity with transportation engineering in Northern California.
Business Development:
Experience in marketing services and preparing proposals for new projects.
Funding & Grants:
Knowledge of transportation funding processes and experience preparing grant applications.
Technical Software Proficiency:
Working knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, VISSIM, and other traffic operations analysis tools.
