What you’ll be doing as a Configuration Management Specialist
Establish and maintain configuration processes; communicate these processes, variations, and deviations to the Managers of Manufacturing Engineering projects/Manager of PE and PCL; and coordinate, submit and maintain technical data and relevant processes.
Review program engineering configuration control methodology and variances in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment and provide specific direction to data owners that will prevent process or system issues and to ensure proper standards and quality are established and maintained.
Monitor engineering release and provide appropriate and compliant data submittals to requesting or contracting customers.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and provide specific direction to data owners to ensure compliance.
Manage policies across PE and PC&L organization.
Schedule and manage activities related to program or product-related change boards (e.g. Configuration Change Board (CCB), etc.) by providing direction to participants and stakeholders before, during and after the sessions.
Support CM reviews and audits, including FCA/PCA and provide direction before, during and after the events to prevent or resolve issues.
Monitor the stability and health of the Engineering Bill-of-Material and Planning/Manufacturing Bill-of-Material for the assigned programs and provide feedback to data owners regarding data issues.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to work effectively within a team, and must have the ability to prioritize a variety of assignments.
Familiarity with a Product Life-cycle Management (PLM) software, data management software, and document imaging software.
Basic understanding of roles, tasks, policies and procedures required to execute the change process, configuration management, data management, and product-related data maintained in the ENOVIA PLM environment.
What you need to be successful
Bachelor’s Degree required.
7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Configuration management, data management, or administrative / office management experience is required.
Certification in configuration management is beneficial.
