Eustis Engineering is looking for geotechnical project engineers to join either our Baton Rouge or Metairie office!COMPANY DESCRIPTIONEustis Engineering is a longstanding professional geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing firm based in New Orleans, LA. For nearly 80 years, it has delivered innovative geotechnical solutions to clients in New Orleans, southeastern Louisiana, and the Gulf Coast Region. Its services include geotechnical engineering, construction quality control and materials testing, exploration and laboratory testing, and instrumentation and pile driving performance monitoring.REQUIREMENTSA minimum of a bachelor’s degree in CIVIL ENGINEERING, GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING, or a related field (a master’s degree is preferred).Registered Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering.At least three years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer.Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.Proficiency in geotechnical software and analysis tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.ESSENTIAL DUTIESPlans and implements engineering projects including defining the project philosophy, activities, milestones, and staff requirements according to the client’s requirements.Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project.Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.Controls expenditures within the limitations of the project budget.Identifies project staffing requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting organization managers.Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables.Assigns and oversees project personnel to specific phases or aspects of a project such as technical studies, project design, preparation of technical documents, etc.Reviews project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, client contract requirements, and related specifications.Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design problems.Directs integration of technical activities.Prepares interim and completion project reports.Interfaces with clients to provide project status reports and ensures the client's needs are met.Provides status and progress reports to client, project team, and upper management.ABOUT EUSTIS ENGINEERINGWhen compared to some of our competitors, Eustis Engineering is “small” but mighty and determined.
