Eustis Engineering is looking for geotechnical project engineers to join either our Baton Rouge or Metairie office!QUALIFICATIONSAs a minimum, a
BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN CIVIL ENGINEERING
from an ABET Accredited Curriculum with four years of work experience after earning the degree. A master's degree in civil engineering is, however, preferred with emphasis in geotechnical engineering or graduate level course work and/or a certificate.Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.Excellent project management skills.Proficiency in appropriate engineering software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Project Engineer duties include the following. Others may be assigned.Plans and implements engineering projects including defining the project philosophy, activities, milestones, and staff requirements according to the client’s requirements.Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project.Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.Identifies project staffing requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting organization managers.Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables.Assigns and oversees project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, project design, preparation of technical documents, etc.Reviews project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, client contract requirements, and related specifications.Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design problems.Directs integration of technical activities.Prepares interim and completion project reports.Interfaces with clients to provide project status reports and ensure client needs are met.Provides status and progress reports to client, project team, and upper management.WHY EUSTIS ENG INEERING?This 78-year-old geotechnical engineering firm has a long list of benefits including
