Summary:The Segment Data Office Analyst partners with our Chief Data & Architecture Office and acts as the execution arm of data governance and management within a business segment. This position is responsible for supporting the identification and management of critical data elements, including the associated data quality, metadata, lineage, and reference data, ensuring the data produced by the segment is fit for purpose for both regulatory and management reporting, supporting the prioritization of data and analytics-related issues and needs, and supporting the data literacy within a business segment.Duties and Responsibilities:Supports metadata, business definitions and lineage are mapped into the enterprise-wide tool.Assists in the management segment-specific reference data.Assists in supporting effective data management and governance practices and ensure adherence to the Data Policy and standards; participates in change management practices.Works closely with the Segment Data Manager and team, Data Trustees & Curators, and technology partners across the data lifecycle.Dedication to the ongoing improvement of data quality within the business segment.Participates in the fit for purpose analysis of data for regulatory and management reporting.Assists in identifying Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and data profiling of CDEs.Helps manage the inventory of data-related controls on systems that support segment processes and customers.Knowledge of the legal, compliance, and regulatory issues impacting data.Partners with the CDAO (Chief Data & Architecture Office) Data Literacy team to support literacy efforts within the segment.Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree5+ years related experience including 1 - 3 years of hands-on data experience with data management, data quality, and/or data governancePreferred Qualifications:Experience participating in data-related projects or programsKnowledgeable of data management and governance policies, standards, metrics, controls, and processesStrong written and verbal communication skillsBusiness outcome focusedProblem-solving mindsetExempt Status:
