Consultant needs to be within 2-3 hours drive from the client location.

Position Description

Monitor performance of reports and dashboards and take corrective action to optimize and improve dashboard performance as necessary.Work with BI Team and others to help troubleshoot issues with Tableau dashboards, Tableau database connectors, assist with design and data development issues.Work closely and collaboratively with end users, analysts and stakeholders to ensure best practices are being used, proper training is being offered and issues and questions are being answered promptly.Gather and document user requirements for new reports and dashboards.Create/Modify Tableau reports and dashboards per user requirements. Work iteratively with the end user.All other duties as assigned or directed.

Skills Requirements

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field8+ years of demonstrated design and development visualization solutions using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.3+ years of presentation experience preparing and delivering presentations to the customer and/or end-user.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement. (Client will take care)

FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills)

Hands-on design, development, and publishing experience using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.Experience building complex reports, dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations using Tableau Desktop 2021.1 or higher, using calculations and parameters.Experience in the creation and use of visualizations and conducting data analysis. Critical thinking, problem solving and the ability to work independently or collaboratively is required.Thorough understanding of data warehouse techniques (dimensional models and aggregation techniques).Experience defining and documenting best practices for Tableau report development.Enterprise IT customer service experience providing user support to include providing technical support/resolutions and direction on non-technical aspects of the software use at SSA.Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical/business stakeholders and conversely, communicate business information to a technical audience.Experience in adapting to changing environments. Candidate must be willing to exercise patience and be able to adapt and respond to rapidly changing priorities while maintaining a respectful and positive attitude with team members and stakeholders.Experience in conducting training sessions or facilitating business presentations such as user groups.Possess the ability to drive insights into actions that improve the teams service delivery or user experience.Excellent communication and written skills.

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

Working knowledge of Tableau Prep.Experience writing advanced SQL queries and designing data models in Greenplum, Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and DB2.Some hands-on experience and familiarity with other BI/data technologies, such as Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Power BI, SAS, R, Python, etc.Experience in requirement elicitation and documentation.Experience conducting validation and/or user acceptance testing.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of experienceMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement. (Client will take care)
