They will be proficient in various test automation tools. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software through effective automation strategies and practices. They will continuously seek ways to enhance testing processes, improve test coverage, and optimize test execution working with DevOps and Development.This position works with complex software using databases and web user interfaces to control electromechanical systems, robotics, and precision optical technologies. The Software Test Automation Engineer II will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists and should demonstrate a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset, a willingness to learn, and an understanding of software/hardware testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.Define test strategies, test plans, and testing requirements based on project needs.Identify areas for process improvements and automation enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.Debug software under test to perform root cause analysis on defects.Create and maintain detailed documentation for test automation processes, frameworks, and scripts.Estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities.Work closely with the Software team, and other stakeholders to ensure that test automation aligns with project goals and requirements.Experience

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience.Minimum of 3 years of experience working with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, JUnit, and TestNG.Demonstrable ability to design, develop, and implement automated testing methods in an Agile environment.Experience testing in a CI/CD environment including Cloud deployments is a plus.Medical Device verification experience a plus.Familiarity with requirements management tools such as Jama, DOORS or equivalent.Experience with change control and tracking systems such as Agile, Jira, Azure DevOps.Experience working in a fast-paced environment producing high quality software.Available for a hybrid work arrangement, which includes three days in the Lexington, MA office.
