This position is full time, on-site, and in plant at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility.
Must have a current and active Secret security clearance, and must have ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance post-hire.
Essential Functions:
Develop, administer and maintain the integrity and security of Linux and Windows-based servers and systems.
Set up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, and installing system-wide software.
Evaluate, improve, and maintain the information security throughout the Linux infrastructure.
Implement and manage Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and documentation including continuous monitoring and executing security controls.
Perform regular system updates and patch management to mitigate vulnerabilities.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Implement and manage security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
Conduct regular security audits to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to align IT infrastructure with established security policies and procedures.
Provide technical support, training and guidance to users, addressing any system-related concerns.
Document system configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures.
Participate in disaster recovery planning, backup operations, and data restoration when necessary.
Provide guidance and technical training to less experienced staff.
Ensure systems are compliant with ITAR, EAR, and CUI regulations when applicable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Top Secret clearance with a CI Poly.
CISSP, RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Security+, Linux+ or similar certifications.
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
Prior experience working in a defense or government contracting environment.
5 years of experience in IT systems administration with a focus on security.
Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and security compliance.
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and associated hardware platforms.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and protocols.
Experience with virtualization technologies and containerization.
Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework and its application in securing IT systems.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
