Job DescriptionU.S. Bank is looking for a Senior Information Security Director to lead our Cybersecurity Community and Partner Outreach Program. These outreach partners include FBI, White House, Secret Service, NSA, CISA, U.S Regulators, and other similar institutions. They will maintain a list of classified briefings and those employees who hold a government clearance. The manager will partner internally and externally to manage relationships to advance U.S. Bank’s Cybersecurity strategy and talent pipeline. In this role, the Director will work closely with Information Security Leaders and HR partners to assess employee skills, identify gaps and develop strategies to address areas where focus is needed. Ensure all required annual certifications are up to date, budgeted, and planned for year to year. This professional will work closely with other Senior Directors within Cybersecurity to understand the company’s strategic objectives and goals to ensure that resources are equipped to achieve them. Lastly, this will include our executive reporting team, responsible for all reports that go to MC, Board of Directors, Senior Operating Committees, OCC, Federal Reserve Bank, EY, and Corporate Audit Services.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work closely with industry groups to enhance coordination and collaboration, share intelligence, information, and contribute to policy and research and development.

Manage relationships with partners in peer institutions, trade associations, advocacy groups, academic institutions, etc. to advance the Cybersecurity agenda.

Manage and maintain external partnerships to meet current/future Cybersecurity job demands, as well as foster community education and awareness.

The team partners with our L&D team around cybersecurity training.

Work with industry partners around cyber defenses.

Build and maintain a strategy on specific cybersecurity training including budget and inventory of certifications, our partnership with government, develop reporting and presentations to executive management.

Build and maintain relationships with our outreach partners, which include: FBI, White House, Secret Service, NSA, CISA, U.S Regulators, and other similar institutions.

Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition on building our intern and early talent program. In this role, the Director will help in partnership to assess employee skills, identify gaps and develop strategies to address areas where focus is needed.

Work closely with other Senior Directors within Cybersecurity to understand the company’s strategic objectives and goals to ensure that reporting team is responsible for all reports that go to MC, Board of Directors, Senior Operating Committees, OCC, Federal Reserve Bank, EY, and CAS.

Setup and maintain all cybersecurity events, customer tours, and CISO required events with White House, CISA, FBI, BITS/BPI, etc.

Oversee ISS onboarding program.

Preparation of Executive reporting that go to MC, Board of Directors, Senior Operating Committees, OCC, Federal Reserve Bank, EY, and CAS, and other CISO forums.

Project management as required.

Skills and Preferred Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.

15+ years of experience in Information Security or related field.

5+ years people leadership experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Strong attention to detail.

Presentation skills.

Problem solving skills.

Strong communication skills including written and verbal.

Strong project management skills, PMP certification a plus.

Understanding of current Information Security guidance and industry/regulatory requirements (NIST Cyber Security Framework, GLBA, GDPR, PCI, SOX, SOC etc.).

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to anticipate, understand, and respond to resource needs shaping behavior in accordance to the situation.

Ability to adapt to change.

Strength to influence others.

Background in Workforce Development-related experience.
