Enterprise Architect III (Chief Architect) (Contingent)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Pinao Consulting is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect III (Chief Architect) to support the Headquarters (HQ) Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) Logistics, Civil Engineering, Force Protection, and Nuclear Integration Directorate Systems Integration Division (AFMC A4N). A strong candidate will possess the ability to provide enterprise architecture subject matter expert support to internal and external stakeholders.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow EA policy, laws, and regulations in development activities and review architectural documentation to determine compliance with policy.
As directed, maintain content in the current business environment tool, or similar tool if directed by government leadership to use and perform analysis.
Utilize the prescribed business environment to capture and analyze architectural information or other tool if directed by the government leadership.
Provide architecture-specific technical expertise to review and develop DoDAF-compliant architecture artifacts.
Identify and create reports, as needed, to support analysis within the logistics portfolio.
Support analysis of proposed system changes and modernization approaches to determine proposed enterprise changes to the logistics portfolio.
Facilitate the development, review, analysis, and reporting of architecture artifacts IAW DoDAF and business process model and notation standards.
Provide architectural artifact review/development assistance to IT system functional owners within the A4N mission area when requested for system development/modification package approval.
Ensure architectural integrity and consistency occurs across the logistics enterprise as new artifacts are being produced by legacy systems and/or transformation initiatives.
Comply with the AFMC Architecture Standards and support architecture compliance requirements and the AF standard portfolio management solution.
Collaborate with architects, program offices, working across logistics portfolio to ensure all work complies with logistics enterprise architecture standards and the Logistics Reference Architecture, document/standards/patterns and Reference Models.
Support Capability Initiative integration.
The Contractor shall provide centralized oversight, coordination and collaboration among EA, DM and PfM.
Strategic thinking, advisement, and leadership for a diverse architecture team, to include Enterprise/ Business/ Application/ System/ Data/ Security/ Infrastructure architectures, to support HQ AFMC/A4 mission success through effective IT investments.
Extensive subject matter expertise for the broad, strategic-level architecture activities as well as EA configuration management for the logistics portfolio system support.
Develop the AFMC/A4 logistics portfolio architectural vision with deep and broad logistics domain knowledge, communicate the vision to stakeholders, implement the vision within the EA and PM teams, and provide technical leadership and recommendations to the Government.
Provide diverse architectural expertise and effective logistics domain guidance to architects on the EA team and the DM support team for the AF/A4 LDDO. In addition, provide guidance and expertise to the A4NE and the Architecture lead for EA, regarding processes, practices, standards, metrics, and tools.
Provide EA support and analysis for PfM’s cloud migration efforts.
Develop best practice artifacts, models, standards, architectures to help the A4 enterprise transition and implement a cloud-based data environment strategy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.
Skills / Qualifications:
Have the experience and knowledge of the most recent version of DoDAF and all viewpoints, DoD and Air Force enterprise architecture policy, guidance, processes and reference models.
Have working-level experience of the portfolio management tools.
Provide enterprise architecture subject matter expert support to internal and external stakeholders.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
Security Clearance:
Active DoD Secret Clearance Required.
Work Experience:
10 years in enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, development, and integration, or related activities.
