As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Ridgeline, you will be part of a specialized team embedded within implementation activities to drive the success of our software solutions. Your mission will be to empower our implementers and provide a market-leading customer experience by designing, developing, and deploying tailored software solutions. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and partner firms to understand their unique needs and deliver high-impact results, ensuring that our tools successfully scale with our organization.What will you do?Software Development:
Design, develop, and deploy software solutions tailored to the specific needs of our implementation teams.Problem Solving:
Address complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions to enhance client operations and capabilities.Quality Assurance:
Dedicate 20% of your time to embedding within projects to ensure tools and automation run smoothly, provide frontline technical assistance, and develop new ideas.Integration and Implementation:
Seamlessly integrate new solutions with existing systems and ensure smooth deployment and operation.Training and Support:
Provide training and ongoing support to client teams to ensure successful adoption and utilization of deployed solutions.Client Engagement:
Collaborate directly with clients to gather requirements, understand business objectives, and provide expert technical consultation.Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development or deployment role, preferably in client-facing environments.Strong technical skills with experience in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++), and familiarity with software deployment tools and frameworks.Experience with data integration or ETL tools.Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure management.Proven track record of successfully deploying and integrating software solutions in complex client environments.Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to understand client requirements and translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, both independently and in team settings.Experience in gathering and incorporating client feedback into product development.Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, core engineering teams, and consultants.Nice-to-Haves:Experience with financial software platforms and technologies used in asset management.Understanding of portfolio management systems, risk management tools, and trading platforms.Knowledge of LLM tools, APIs, and concepts including OpenAI API, Langchain, Retrieval Augmented Generation.Understanding of UX principles to ensure client-facing interfaces are intuitive and effective.Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.Experience coaching customers around tech stack, tooling, and processes.Comfortable working with Slack, JIRA/Confluence, and professional services applications.Compensation and BenefitsAs an employee at Ridgeline, you’ll have many opportunities for advancement in your career and can make a true impact on the product.In addition to the base salary, 100% of Ridgeline employees can participate in our Company Stock Plan subject to the applicable Stock Option Agreement.
