Position Summary:We're looking for a software engineer to join the Optical Ordering and Fulfillment team. You will play a critical role in the success of the team by writing clean maintainable code to solve complex business problems. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.What you'll do:Develop and maintain software applications

– Write clean, efficient, and scalable code, contributing to the design, development, and optimization of all components in the optical technical stack.Debug and troubleshoot issues

– Identify, diagnose, and resolve software defects, performance issues, and technical roadblocks.Conduct code reviews

– Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and code quality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams

– Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements, design features, and deliver high-quality solutions.What you'll bring:Proficiency in programming languages

– Strong knowledge of languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or C++ and familiarity with software development frameworks.Problem-solving skills

– Ability to think critically and creatively to design efficient solutions and troubleshoot technical issues.Attention to detail

– Writing clean, well-documented code and thoroughly testing it to ensure quality and reliability.Collaboration and communication
