You will collaborate with our product team, architects, tech lead and team to design, develop and enhance a reliable and easy-to-maintain backend infrastructure.About Team:Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.What you'll do:As a Software Engineer III, you will provide hands-on coding expertise with an aptitude for technical leadership to provide feature development and modernization of Walmart’s core Pharmacy fulfillment application.You will work closely with Product, Quality Assurance, and Technology Teams to ensure the highest level of stakeholder and end-user satisfaction.You will be a critically important member of the application development team in software design, coding, implementation, upholding our architectural patterns, coding standards, quality principles, and customer focus.What you'll bring:Expert level experience with .NET service and thick-client software development.SQL and no-SQL databases such as Informix, DB2, Hadoop, Cassandra, and Cosmos DB.Demonstrated experience with design and testing patterns.Aptitude for Test Driven Development and leveraging Unit Testing.Exposure to Kafka or other high volume, low latency messaging infrastructure.Solid experience in building and consuming SOAP and RESTful APIs.Practical exposure to Agile Methodologies.Good understanding of CI/CD.Good experience with any public cloud platforms and cloud native services.Ability to perform in a team environment and ready to take ownership.True passion for technology, love to continuously learn and strive for excellence.Great communication/collaboration skills.Pharmacy domain knowledge is a huge plus.About Walmart Global Tech:Imagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
