The Cyber Systems Engineer also evaluates/assesses the proposed and realized implementation to identify security risks and verify the cybersecurity protections from the design are realized and integrated while ensuring the development of verification efforts to ensure the cybersecurity protections/capabilities are functional, effective, and complete.You'll utilize the Atlassian product suite, including Jira and Confluence. Our small but highly energized Agile Scrum team has a significant development effort with a large impact. Please consider joining us and thrive within our fast-paced software development team!Job Duties:The candidate will perform Cyber System Engineering activities supporting all phases of systems development in the areas of Cybersecurity/Systems Security Engineering, and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) as per Risk Management Framework (RMF). Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Author, support and maintain cybersecurity program documentation & RMF package documentation: Cybersecurity Strategies, System Security Plans, Continuous Monitoring Plans, Risk Assessment Report, POA&Ms, etc.Support system security requirements, architecture, design, development, evaluation, certification, and accreditation.Perform vulnerability scans and mitigate findings.Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).Preparation of ATO artifacts to include baselines, SOP, SSP, RAR, and POA&M.Provide advanced technical analyses of cyber infrastructure challenges and problems; develop/identify technical solutions responsive to customer needs.Design, plan, implement, and perform assessment of security controls, policies, and processes compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF Knowledge Service guidance.Basic Qualifications:

have a Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of related technical experience; OR Masters Degree with 3 or more years of related technical experience; OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.Candidate

DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+).Experience with vulnerability and compliance scanners such as Nessus and SCAP.Experience with End Point Security (ESS) Agents such as Trellix.Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF).Experience with implementing STIGs and tracking non-compliance of Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&Ms).Experience utilizing eMASS.Preferred Qualifications:
