Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Solution Specialist in Houston, Texas and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.Work You’ll DoProvide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation, including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using programming languages. Build, deploy and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.

15% Travel required nationally.Telecommuting permitted.Work location includes various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 1 year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 1 year of related work experience in each of the following:

Designing and developing applications using Java, Spring Model-View-Controller (MVC), Representational State Transfer (RESTful) Web Services, HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and Angular to meet functional needs for software applications;Conducting Unit Testing of Web Services and web applications using JUnit, Mockito, Postman, and SoapUI;Developing domain classes and database access methods using Oracle and Spring Data Java Database Connectivity Template (JdbcTemplate);Creating technical design and unit test case documents to track test cases and issues utilizing Microsoft (MS) Excel and SonarQube;Working with a team of developers to both produce new components and resolve defects through a standard defect resolution process, utilizing Jira;Performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; andCreating web applications using Apache Maven and API Integration to provide service and data to users.OtherHours: M-F, 40 hours/week;If offered employment, must have legal right to work in U.S. EOE, including disability/veterans.
