Job SummaryThe overall purpose of this role is to support core functions of the Experience Design team including web analytics, data analysis & reporting, and marketing. The incumbent in this position will primarily focus on analytics & marketing strategies & services for IEEE products, websites, and campaigns, while also collaborating with partners across the organization, and external vendors and consultants, when warranted. The role typically works in the Experience Design Team with a direct supervisor (TBD). This position works with moderate supervision and has no direct reports.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day organizational needs and operations in the realm of analytics & marketing through subject matter expertise, strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills, and ability to adapt and shift gears to address changing business needs & environmental landscape.Support data reporting and insights development for IEEE.org site enhancements and monitoring.Creation of analytics reports & dashboards for IEEE products & services, top-tier websites, and marketing campaigns to identify actionable insights, key trends & metrics, core business drivers, user behavior resulting in conversions, and data/marketing/website optimization opportunities.Actively conducting industry research and landscape assessments to inform the enterprise analytics & marketing strategies, explore new and cutting-edge data science and visualization tools for reporting, and present key findings to help IEEE stay ahead of the curve.Leveraging various analytics tools and techniques in order to analyze trends, develop best practice resources (such as tip sheets, tutorials, how-to guides, or topical articles for newsletters), and provide ongoing reporting to marketing & analytics constituents as well as key stakeholders.Assisting with the strategy/development of custom analytics & reporting for IEEE products & services, initiatives, and Experience Design clients/partners.Creating recommendation-based resources & strategies for content managers and editors to spotlight promotional content & user needs on IEEE.org and other revenue-driving sites based on analytics.Supporting the Google Analytics 4 (GA4) migration strategy & processes for enterprise-wide websites & marketing landing pages.Development of ongoing insights report to measure the pulse of the organization and inform data-driven decision making.Assisting with the development of a marketing intelligence program through the development of best practices, recommendations, and insights to fuel strategic and tactical executions in the realms of analytics, content curation, web design, social media, paid advertising, revenue generation, conversions, and more.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Analytics, Information Retrieval/Information Technology, Computer Science, Market Research, Psychology, Digital Libraries, Math/Statistics, Digital Marketing, Content Management, Digital Analytics, Data Science, or similar field.Work Experience2-4 years experience in data, analytics, marketing, or similar field is a must.Some experience with data, analytics, marketing/social media tools & platforms (such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and paid media) is desired.Proficiency in Python and SQL is a must with experience using Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab, VSCode, pgAdmin, MongoDB, BigQuery, or similar tools.Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar data visualization techniques/tools.Completed, in progress, or willingness to pursue further training and/or certification is preferred.Skills and RequirementsUnderstanding of internet architecture, user experience, web design/development, content management systems, digital governance, digital marketing practices, and analytics best practices.Strong interest in: information retrieval, data mining and machine learning, data modeling and mining, statistics, information theory, text-mining, data analysis, data manipulation/transformation, data cleaning, data mining, and other techniques.Ability to learn/adapt to new technologies and processes with a continuous learning and growth mindset.Ability to support and/or lead strategy development, analyze business needs and data, identify cost savings & optimization opportunities, and streamline workflow/processes.Detail oriented with keen attention to accuracy and consistency, problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of individual ownership and responsibility.Strong personal project and time management skills; ability and interest in working with multiple, diverse projects simultaneously in complex environments.Ability to effectively communicate with ExD peers and IEEE partners through written communications and/or presentation skills.Proficient in critical thinking and oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical partners.Must have a proven track record of delivering results and be a self-starter.Excellent time management and work prioritization skills.Ability to work collaboratively with team members, other IEEE partners/stakeholders, end users, vendors, and contractors to achieve goals.Able to work off-site/remotely with proficiency and efficiency when required.Knowledge of SEO, SEM, domain management, and content curation is a plus.Knowledge of, or experience with, generative AI, Google Ads, social media advertising & strategy, web design, etc. is a plus.Familiarity with IEEE is a plus.Familiarity with using Google applications for email and document management is a plus.Familiarity with remote meeting tools such as WebEx and/or Google Meet is a plus.For information on the work demands and conditions required for this position, please consult the reference document, "Physical, Mental, and Work Environment Standards for IEEE Positions."
