Job Title: Data DesignerLocation: Onsite 3-days per week at Westfield, Ohio (local candidates only)
Interview: One Hour interview with Project Manager, Data Analyst and Sue. Will make a decision or do round 2 if necessary. One week maximum to decide.
Desired Qualifications/ Experience/ Certification/ Education5+ years of Data Designer experience.7-10 years industry experience.Property & Casualty insurance experience (Preferred) or at least be familiar with it.Communicate at all levels.Should have been Data Analyst prior to being Data Designer.Highly skilled at building complex conceptual, logical and physical data models which are visual representations of an enterprise's business data. Experience with Erwin or other modeling tools is required.Highly skilled at systematically applying logical reasoning techniques to query, inspect, cleanse, profile and study data in structured, semi-structured, and unstructured formats for the purpose of deriving knowledge to support business decision-making and mapping data between source and target systems to support application integrations.Highly skilled at SQL Programming with the ability to perform the most complex queries against relational databases in an efficient manner.Knowledgeable at transforming data into compelling, meaningful and appealing visualizations, such as graphs, dashboards and reports, using intuitive industry visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Excel).Knowledgeable at designing and developing metadata models, frameworks, dimensions, reporting objects, templates, drill downs all within the Cognos Framework Manager, Reporting and Dashboard applications.Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field or commensurate experience.Ability to travel as required.Agile development experience required.Self-starter, but will take direction from others.
