Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking

Staff Cyber Tools Engineer – 13368.

This position will be located in

Roy, Utah

and will support the Advanced Programs.

What You’ll Get To Do:

The Classified Solutions Staff Cyber Tools Engineer will be responsible for selection, management, and configuration of cyber tools to support maintaining and monitoring information system networks under ATO, to include both RMF and JSIG-based information systems. This is a highly technical role, considered an authority and subject-matter expert on technical tool configuration, usage and integration within complex networks:

Drive execution of the Digital Ecosystem Cybersecurity Strategy as outlined by the Digital Ecosystem Cyber Element Lead.

Oversee and maintain toolsets and configuration to support and deliver the Digital Ecosystem’s Cybersecurity Business Intelligence, Knowledge Management, and Agile Work Breakdown Structure objectives.

Mentor and train junior staff in toolset usage, configuration, system integration, and program support needs.

Deliver presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders.

Identify, track, and report on Indicators of Compromise (IoCs), and provide system metrics in the form of KPIs for IoC tracking and resolution.

Ensure environments remain compliant and all associated systems/networks achieve and maintain formal accreditation authorizations from government agencies.

Ensure system components follow Northrop Grumman and the Cyber ISS organizations policies and procedures, making sure that all information is accurate and complete in support of those policies and procedures.

Support the formal Security Assessment process required by the company or government customer.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications:

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

14 Years with Bachelor’s in relevant field of study, 12 Years with Masters, 09 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.

Active DoD Top Secret clearance with a reinvestigation/closed date occurring in the last 6 years.

US Citizenship and ability to obtain & maintain Special Program Access.

Must have work experience in the one (or more) of the following areas: Department of Defense Special Access Programs (DoD SAP), and / or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs.

Must have a current DoD 8570 IAM Level III security certification (examples: CISM, GSLC, CCISO, CISSP) in order to be considered.

Candidate must have strong technical background supporting and configuring tools such as Splunk, Trellix, Purifile, and other technical cybersecurity applications within a DoD Special Access Program (SAP) environment.

Business Acumen: The ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of business and cybersecurity concepts, tools and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions, and performance.

Communications: The ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs that are within Cybersecurity risk tolerance.

Issue & Problem Resolution: The ability to identify and address cybersecurity program impacts through a systematic proactive approach that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance, with current SAP/SAR access, is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or similar STEM related discipline, to include 8 years of ISSO/ISSM experience with RMF.

Diverse classified information systems security / information assurance background.

Prior experience communicating with customer and program leadership.

Salary Range:

$156,700 - $235,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
