Private Wealth ManagementGoldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. YOUR IMPACTThe Private Wealth Management Operational Transformation team is seeking an analyst or associate to join our project team and assist with a front-to-back overhaul of the PWM custody platform, subledger, and user interfaces. Specifically, you will help drive core requirements building, testing, execution and validation on workflows being migrated, in collaboration with Engineering and functional Operations stakeholders. From asset transfer browsers and cash management to data feeds, you will define and deliver system enhancements to improve quality of life for both Operations and client-facing teams. Additionally, you will reconcile data elements within existing subledgers and ensure minimal discrepancies upon migration to upgraded recordkeeping and database infrastructure.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the existing PWM infrastructure including ledgers, user interfaces, workflows, and pain points.• Support the agile delivery process by being a critical part of the product development team (writing user stories, providing direction during grooming calls, testing acceptance criteria, and supporting key agile ceremonies)• Partner with design and Engineering to develop user-centric experiences for internal end-users• Analyze big data and undertake exploratory data analysis while observing best practices for experimentation / analysis• Reconcile data elements pre- and post-migration for relevant workflows• Track and report progress on projects, adhering to solution delivery lifecycle• Collaborate with other developers to share ideas and showcase outputs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree• 3-5 years of work experience in the Financial Services sector, ideally with either product management experience in an agile product development environment, or in an Operational role focused on enhancing processes• Experience with user acceptance testing, including writing test scripts, setting-up test data, and executing testing in multiple environments within agreed timelines.• Excellent writing and communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize differing requirements• Strong attention to detail; strong logical thinker• Fast learner and effective communicator of new / complex information• Demonstrate a high degree of personal accountability, going above and beyond to ensure that products are delivered on time with a high degree of quality• Aptitude for logically breaking down complex problems and processes, documenting workflows and edge cases, and communicating solutions with clarity• Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity• Confidence to challenge and be innovative• Ability to develop cooperative and constructive working relationships with strong culture awareness
