Summary

:Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician position

is responsible for

carrying out planned or unplanned maintenance and repair activities for all the Pikka Facilities on a wide range of electrical equipment, process control, and/or safety systems.Perform preventative maintenance as driven by the work management system and provide quality detail and feedback to work completed and discovered. Plan work in collaboration with the Integrated Asset Planner (IAP) and I&C Lead. coordinate with and oversee contractors.Have a good understanding of operational instrumentation and electrical safety concepts and techniques. Enjoy diagnosing equipment breakdowns and

participating

in Root Cause Failure Analysis investigations while monitoring,

maintaining

, and repairing automation, instrumentation, and electrical system. Equipment includes, but not limited to, gas & oil treating and water injection facilities including large electric-driven compressors, heater treaters and stabilizers, TEG dehydration units, water injection pumps, separation, LACT skids, and product tankage.Promote and lead in the implementation of Santos Ltd policies and procedures, including Safety, health, environment, process,

people

and planningMonitor,

maintain

, and repair automation, instrumentation, and control systemRespond to equipment breakdowns and

participate

in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations to

determine

root cause.Capable of performing manlift operations.Perform preventative maintenance as driven by the work management system and provide quality detail and feedback to work completed and discovered.Provide Santos oversite of contractor work, ensuring compliance with Santos and regulatory requirements.Work with engineering to evaluate maintenance program performance and pursue predictive maintenance analytics.Seek knowledge in and encourage the use of innovative technology to further

optimize

facilities’ availability and reliability.Monitor,

maintain

, and repair process control systems for a gas & oil treating and water injection facilities including large electric-driven compressors, heater treaters and stabilizers, TEG dehydration units, water injection pumps, separation, LACT skids, and product tankage.Experience working in Emerson Delta V control systemOil and Gas Custody transfer metering and proving systems including quality bankMinimum

Requirements,

Qualifications & Experience:Required: educational background normally

acquired

through a High School degree or GED or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.Preference for someone who

certified

, licensed, or has completed an apprentice program or equivalent.Capable of performing manlift operations.Experience working in Emerson Delta V control systemExperience with work management systems (SAP, Maximo, or

similar)

Proficiency

with mechanical equipment and automation/instrumentation systemsValid state motor vehicle license to

operate

mobile equipment to move machinery.Willing and able to work a 12-hour day/night shift with a 2/2 weeks on/off rotational schedule on the North Slope of AlaskaCurrently

reside
