What You Will Do

PSS-1 is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Software Developer 4. The Online Collaboration and Infrastructure team is responsible for the development and maintenance of ALDPI and ALDWP's unclassified and classified SharePoint sites and applications. The Software Developer will support various applications to include customized development and upkeep (e.g. system access/permissions, quick fixes, form and workflow creation/maintenance, etc.) across the organization. This work will be performed in a fast-paced environment in direct support of specific programmatic needs and mission milestones. Furthermore, working on a Scrum team, the successful candidate will perform the full spectrum of SharePoint and Content Management System (CMS) Design and Development, including but not limited to the following:

Software Developer 4 ($112,000 - $186,700)SharePoint development and administration for the unclassified and classified networks.Content Management System design and development for the unclassified network.Design, develop, modify, test and debug customized sites and applications based on SharePoint technologies.Work with other team members on planning and executing projects that involve collaboration with business users.Providing functional training to staff and users on the architecture and functionality of SharePoint sites and applications.Mentor junior developers through paired programming.Maintain the Quality Assurance of the Production SharePoint architecture.Standardize SharePoint templates and collaborate with other developers to improve processes.Maintain Business Processes and User Acceptance Testing documentation.What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements:Advanced experience of Microsoft SharePoint (Master Pages, Apps, Page layouts, Web Parts, SharePoint Ribbon, SharePoint Designer, etc.).Proficient in Programming Languages and Frameworks (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, jQuery, .NET, C#, etc.).Knowledge with database functionality (SQL) and Web Services.Experience developing custom Forms and Workflows using Nintex or another technology.Knowledge with third-party tools such as KendoUI, PDFShareForms, ShareGate and DataOne for PowerShell.Experience with configuring user access controls, permissions and data retention policies.Debugging and Testing Capabilities.Skillful in highly functional UI/UX design processes.Excellent collaboration and communication (verbal and written) skills.Experience with Business Process Automation.A developed methodology for successful delivery.Ability to use APIs to create custom solutions.Ability to obtain a DOE "Q" clearance.

Desired Qualifications:Demonstrated experience in the design and development of mobile applications.Experience working on an Agile Scrum Development Team.Experience using Project Management Tools, such as Azure DevOPS or Jira.Certified Scrum Certifications.

Education/Experience:

Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 12 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post graduate course work may be expected.

Work Location:

The work location for this position is hybrid and is located in Los Alamos, NM. Hybrid is defined as working partially onsite/partially offsite but within 2 hours ground commute of this location. All work locations are at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.

Position commitment:

Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. Directive 206.2

- Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.

Clearance: Q

(Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.

*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.

New-Employment Drug Test:

The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.

Regular position:

Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.

Internal Applicants:
