SAP Master Data Specialist
The SAP Master Data Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy and consistency of master data within our SAP systems. Clean master data ensures a single source of truth, serving as a high-quality, consistent master data source for various systems, including ERP. This position will work closely with our business owners to ensure data quality and to support their processes. This position will report to the Vice President of Enterprise Applications.
Responsibilities
Create, update and maintain master data records in SAP for financials.
Configure, update and maintain enterprise organization structure, such as company codes and plants.
Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize master data management process within SAP and ancillary applications that consume SAP master data.
Communicate effectively with the business to understand data requirements and facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Perform regular checks to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the master data.
Skills and Characteristics
Expertise in SAP master data setup and maintenance for GL accounts, Profit/Cost Centers, statistical key figures, cost elements and hierarchies.
Expertise in configuring and maintaining SAP company codes and plants.
Basic understanding of SAP’s 3-tier environment and change transports.
Knowledge of SDLC, Software Development Life Cycle.
Analytical thinker with the ability to validate SAP master data changes by analyzing before and after financial statements.
Business acumen.
Proficient in Excel.
Detail-oriented.
