There are many reasons to build your career at Carter's.HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:The IT Security Intern will be responsible for day-to-day information security analysis; supporting the information security operations manager with events, vulnerabilities, threats, and alerts oversight as well as reporting and documentation.This role reports into our IT Security Operations Manager. The IT Security team is hybrid with some members working in office several times a week to fully remote.Security Operations - 70%
Responsible for day-to-day information security analysis; supporting the Information Security Manager with events, vulnerabilities, threats, and alerts oversightParticipate in the regular scanning of systems and networks to detect security weaknesses, and help assess the associated riskReview and correlate data from various IT and Security systems (SIEM, CMDB, EDR, etc.) to detect inconsistencies or gaps in configurations. Identify areas where security tools may be underutilized or misconfiguredProvide support to the security engineers by performing technical administrative tasksEffectively communicate verbally and in writing with the Information Security team and managementReporting and Documentation - 30%
Create a variety of security related reports based on guidance from management to allow Information Security Manager and broader IT management teams to make informed decisionsCreate and review IT Security Operations documentation for processes and Standard Operating ProceduresWE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:Must have:
Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related fieldMinimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (3.2 strongly preferred)Enrollment in a Bachelor/Master’s degree program at the time of the internship (certificate programs are not eligible)Availability to start on the designated start date in MayAvailability to work for a minimum of 10 out of the 11 weeks of the defined internship period which runs from May-AugustPreferred skills and experience:
