Hybrid Schedule:

3 days in office / 2 days at home weekly

Job SummaryThe Data Governance & Literacy Leader will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data governance strategies while championing data literacy programs to enhance data awareness and proficiency among the PatientPoint user community. This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, security, and usability of our data assets.

What You'll Do

Data Governance Framework Development & Implementation

Design, implement, and maintain a scalable data governance framework aligned with organizational objectives, audit/regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Create and maintain policies, standards, and procedures for data management, data quality, metadata management, and data access control.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data ownership, stewardship roles, and corporate accountability mechanisms.

Oversee the implementation of data governance processes and controls to ensure compliance with established policies and standards.

Monitor and assess data quality, integrity, and security measures, identifying areas for improvement and partnering to implement fixes/enhancements as needed.

Drive collaboration and decision making by facilitating data governance meetings, working groups, and committees.

Data Literacy Promotion

Develop and deliver data literacy training programs and workshops to enhance the data skills and knowledge of employees across different departments and levels.

Create educational resources, guides, and documentation to promote understanding of data concepts, terminology, and tools. Tools should meet the users where they are.

Serve as a mentor and advocate for data literacy, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making through data assets and continuous learning within the organization.

Change Management and Communication

Lead change management efforts to promote awareness and adoption of data governance policies and practices throughout the organization.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to articulate the value proposition of data governance and literacy initiatives, addressing concerns and soliciting feedback.

Regularly report on the progress, achievements, and challenges of data governance and literacy efforts to senior management and key stakeholders.

What we Need

Bachelors in Data Management, IT, Business Administration, or related field.

5+ years in data governance, data management, or related roles, with a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, principles, and practices.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across different functional areas and organizational levels.

Demonstrated expertise in data literacy training and education, including curriculum development, instructional design, and delivery.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.

Desired Qualifications

Master's degree

Certification in data governance or related fields (e.g., CDMP, DGSP)

Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and data management standards (e.g., DAMA DMBOK)

Previous experience working with sales and customer service teams in healthcare
