Parsons is looking for a talented Systems Administrator to join our team! In this specialized role, you will support day-to-day operations in a unique and critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have system administration experience with Microsoft servers, high volume storage solutions, and Cisco routers and switches.What You'll Be Doing:
Participate in the design & implementation of new systems infrastructureInstall and configure hardware and software componentsMonitor system health and performance to meet program requirements and minimize down timeTroubleshoot and resolve system issuesProvide technical insights to other team membersParticipate in project planning & execution, ensuring timely delivery of projects.Perform system upgrades and patchesInterface frequently with users on a daily basis and respond to emergent needsParticipate in on-call rotation for after-hours supportManage user accounts and access controlsDevelop and maintain standard operational procedures and system documentationStay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, & best practices.What Required Skills You'll Bring:
A TS/SCI w/ poly is requiredMinimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator.Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, and Server 2019.Experience performing systems administration functions with PowerShell.Ability to work both independently and with others while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work frequently with users in a friendly and professional way.Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and CIFS.Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Worked performed will be 100% on-site in a secure environment.Must be mission oriented.Position will require on-call rotation for after hours/weekend support.What Desired (but not required) Certifications You'll Bring:
Knowledge of storage solutions such as SAN/NAS technologiesCompTIA Network+Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
